Today was a lazy Saturday with a teeny bit of revision as I have mock exams coming up next week. There's a constant chill in the air yet I can't refrain from cracking open my windows as the heat from the radiators makes me sleepy. I'm sitting here listening to artists such as Mika, while throwing wax and makeup on paper once in a while... I took a few pictures today, I look like I'v climbed out of bed constantly but It's the first appearance I believe of faux fur on my blog! Haha, yet it's not even good faux fur, oh well.

Isn't this just gorgeous, Imagine the aroma! I'v never owned a Yankee candle, yet I was shopping around for them and just didn't find any tempting enough to buy! I also love the colours, very summery.

This pretty much summed up my day It wasn't ideal as I woke up an hour late, and later found out it was wasted effort, I was fuming. It's awful how sleep deprived I feel from stress/school sometimes no matter how much I sleep I still don't feel energized. There's many more pictures like this by the same person, all very delicate and relatable. 

I have always had a thing for clocks and time, I even did a final piece on them in Art! I don't know why I just think time is so precious yet so absurd at the same time. Blogmas day 6: Ice skating

Looking worse for wear! haha

The other day I went ice skating with a couple of my friends, I was super excited as I didn't go last year or even the year before that! I can ice skate but since I don't go often I'm always slipping and sliding for about an hour. Well the result was i fell over countless times while my friends zoomed around, then when I finally got the hang of it they were tired! haha It was great fun as afterwards we split and took a stroll in the park and went to an Asian supermarket, which you don't see very often so I bought some HelloPanda. I think this is a great idea as you can usually only get the opportunity to skate in winter although I suggest being careful as my friend had a ton of money stolen from her when she went to Winter Wonderland!

On the 5th day of Christmas snow came to London

When I awoke this morning I was shocked to find white flecks falling from the sky as there had been no warning. It made me smile as only the previous day I had said to my mum that I wished it would snow as I knew other parts of the UK had the blessing of the decoration. My mum predicted it wouldn't come till Christmas so I was a bit amused that it until I started slipping and sliding in it. I wore fake uggs as I had seen others where them in previous years but never again!!! I'm sticking to wellys from now on as it's a nightmare. I know many don't like snow but its certainly a nice contribution to the countdown to Christmas, unfortunately it was all gone by the late afternoon without a trace. I think it was a little sample for whats to come.

I like to stay in my PJs for the morning then put on a new dress and look good for when even for people come around for Christmas dinner.

I hate the smell of cinnamon. My brother got me a versace perfume last Christmas so it would have to be that and the smell of tinsel.

I'v picked two party outfits both look quite christmassy and they are gold and red but are appropriate for different occasions. I'd say the red outfit is more for family/work 'Do's' and the Black/Gold one would go well for a friends party. In the first outfit I combined the dress with the thick cardigan as it's really chilly at the moment and there's no way I could go out in the dress by itself as I'd freeze, I'd probably throw another black jacket on top of the cardi! My dad has brought me up to love things such as skulls so the bag is very much to my fancy and suits the edgy theme. My second outfit would probably go well with a pair of heels but I'm tall so platforms would make me look like a giant. As it's winter I think boots go well with any outfit even if it's a party (you can chuck a pair of flats in your bag) Which is why the bag's not a typical clutch as I like the comfort of being able to throw anything in my bag without the worry of room + I think the style of this bag is absolutely lush and warm.

On the lucky day of Christmas: Reminiscing

When I was younger like most people I found Christmas more an exciting event mostly as I found there was more of a build up to Christmas. I used to be a Catholic so we'd go to church on the night of Christmas eve which was such fun as all the children got to sit around the altar for the service while Christmas songs were sang, we'd then have a peek in the churches manger and the priest would give us all a mince pie or sausage roll on our way out. When I then got home I would leave out some whiskey, carrot, and a mince pie for father Christmas and go to bed feeling all jittery inside. When I woke up there would be a pillow case at the end of my bed full of Santa's prezzies so I'd open them before flying down the stairs.

What beheld in front of me was our Christmas tree swamped with presents of all sizes while various decorations lit up my living room. I would have to wake for everyone to get up which was usually just my sister as she was so lazy! Then we would all sit around the Christmas tree while with mum constantly handing us presents. This was one of the best times for me as a kid as I loved getting toys and would spend the days beforehand endlessly circling items in the Argos catalogue. One time my brother opened a present of boots and was totally confused until mum shouted that they were mien! Haha Anyway the next big thing was the Christmas dinner back then we still had everyone around and it was a bit easier since are house was more spacious yet we'd find tables from the community hall and sit around in the living room. 

I loved Christmas and I still do perhaps not as much as i recognise the stress associated with it more  and 'family arguments' do occur as we can easily get in each others way but all in all I do enjoy it and try my hardest to make it special :)

Blogmas Day 2: Family and Friends

Today my sister came down for the day and helped out lots around the house as well as cleaning my face? Well I think she got excited at looking at my beauty products and decided to use St Ives and Simple moisturiser to give my face a facial. I have acne which may not be severe but it really annoys me and I'm currently trying loads of things from my Doctor to try and get rid of it.

Today's post is about family spirit at Christmas. My sister will be going back tonight but she'll be coming back again near Christmas along with my brother,his fiance, my nan and granddad, my aunt and cousin and a few other familiars will probably wander in on Christmas day. My house is not big so it is usually jam packed which can be rather hectic for my mum but I think the more the merrier when it comes to xmas.

When I was younger I grew up with my friend Elinor as she was my neighbour so we were practically sisters in a sense and she would also come around on Christmas day and we'd play with our new toys like tamogotchi's! Now I just send cards to all my friends and a few gifts here and there but as you may have seen in my last post a few of my friends decided to join together to do a Secret Santa this year which I think is a fab idea.

At Christmas even if you get tempted by all the new Christmas products including funny Christmas jumpers and pajamas it's a time to think of others no matter what. It's the time of year to put others before yourself because in the end your not doing too bad and putting a smile on others faces will make you warm inside too. You can start worrying about yourself when it comes to New Years :P

On the first day of christmas....On a Budget

Ho ho ho ho ho my lovely readers I have decided to do a blog post for the 25 days of Xmas  So to start of I shall show you my new advent calender straight from poundland. I have been told many times why do you have an advent calender at your age? I just reply with 'I will be keeping advent calenders market in business for the rest of my life' I mean why not? To me it's a significant part of the build up to Christmas as it's a simple reminder every day. I'v never had the best calenders (like mars,malteser ect) I kind of wanted to this year but I just thought £3 for a celnder what too much! Which is what this post is about some budget prezzies from Poundland and Primark as money is low this year (especially as I'm too young for a job!).

 This is all from Poundland, I'd say 99p store have more/better choice at the moment but it's a small matter of preference (only 1p worth). I found a Christmas hat that wasn't itchy and fits my head yay.

 They have a few different bath sets I'm not sure if they're up to much so I'll probably pick up something else from Boots as well but I'm planning on giving this to my nan.

 My sister lives in Bath and misses primark as they don't have one there so I plan on buying her a few things from there for xmas. Today I only picked up these fuzzy socks for her but I'll pick up a dress or clothing item soon. I got the tights for me since I have dozens yet they have become picked and small, so I got these in large as I have very long legs!

 Me and my friends are doing a secret santa this year and these are few gifts I got for my person. The art pad and pencils are both from the works which I always find to be a fab place to get things for cheap. The fuzzy pink socks are from the 99p store, guess what happened I lost £1 in there!

The card factory has renovated itself for Christmas and if you don't already know does cards at penny prices,basically a cheaper (still good quality) version on Clinton's  t was absolutely packed when I went today as they had loads of wrapping paper,gifts, cards ect. I also saw some of their cards gave to charity (which are the best) but I picked these ones up thinking they were too but they're not :( I don't tend to give cards to everyone at school just close friends and favourite teachers.

Pumpkin Soup

 I know Halloween was a few days ago now, but I didn't carve my pumpkin till after Halloween as my mum was busy. Nevertheless I love pumpkin soup so took it upon myself to make the soup. This is my mums recipe, it feeds loads as its for a giant pot and is super yummy and mild. I shall warn you that it takes a lot of hard work and prep can take up to 2 hours!! As there's lots of chopping and emptying the pumpkin is super hard. I forgot to add on the recipe that once you're happy with the final product add a medium tub of single cream, and on day 2 you may wish to freeze the soup.

Bertie Botts beans

This is a quick review of the Bertie-Botts Every Flavour beans from Harry potter, purchasable at the theme park and tour. There are 20 flavours....

Each with a 'unique' taste, me and my friend took it in turns to select a bean with are eyes closed and tried to guess the flavour. I think she was better at guessing, but I stomached them better! The worst ones were earthworm,black pepper, vomit, cinnamon, dirt and rotten egg. It's nice when you come across a cherry or candyfloss but they can easily be mistaken for a cinnamon. There's the well known sherbert lemmon and bogey flavoured beans mentioned in the films, it's really fun to relive the potter experience.

These were originally made for the USA so have some E numbers in them which aren't usually found in British sweets, this is a negative for me as I don't need to be more hyper and they could probably break me out. I still have the half-eaten packet, I would suggest making a game out of it with a friend as they're not the sort to be eaten in one go. The beans cost £8.95 but I think they are worth it as a one-off treat since you can't buy them anywhere else. The chocolate frog was also very good but nothing special and not worth the price, I got an Godric Gryffindor card unfortunately (I'm more of a hufflepuff/ravenclaw), the chocolate last a long time as its large but for £7.95 you might as well get the card off ebay.

Harry Potter Tour (Picture heavy)

WAIT A SECOND. I can't believe I never did a blog post of the Harry Potter tour in summer! Well, well, well, all i can say is this contains a lot of images! It seems ages ago especially since its only a day tour but my sister came down to London to take me to the Harry Potter tour at the end of August. If you don't already know I'm a huge harry potter fan so I was so looking forward to this as I'v been to the Orlando theme park (before I'd read the books!) and didn't buy anything :( This time I made sure to get a chocolate frog. So to get ready I tried making homemade butterbeer which didn't taste very nice as I added too much cinnamon, I did my nails, watched half of the final film in the morning and wore a yellow sunshine coloured top with my dirigible plum earrings, spectrespecs, pink converse and deathly hallows symbol necklace.

I had an awesome time there is so much to see that you should really take your time, as I was with my sister I didn't go as slow as I would have liked too and I had an audio guide which I didn't get to take full advantage of (it gives a Tom Felton voice over of everything and has lots of unseen images and footage on it). I was slightly dazed walking past everything in quick transession as so much whizzed past my eyes.

Before I left I made sure to go to the gift shop, I bought a sugar quill lolly, a chocolate frog, bertie botts beans, and a pygmy puff (which I have named bon-bon). I'll do another post on  the bertie botts beans!!
